What Documents Do You Need to Sell a Scrap Car?

Proof of identity. Your NSW driver licence or photo card confirms you are the registered operator with the legal right to dispose of the vehicle.

Proof of ownership. This is usually your Certificate of Registration. If you have misplaced it, Service NSW can issue a replacement. Without ownership evidence, the sale may be delayed.
